I thought I would start a new thread for the blog party, since the other one has gotten so long.

(If you want to read all the old discussion, the other thread is here.)

So... lovely spring greens blog party for May (thanks, Darcey!).

Any ideas for June?

New hosting volunteers?

I don't have any idea for June yet? But what about cooling herbs for the Summer?

Anyway I found a little extra tidbit of info on arugula (a decoction) so I should update my post today.

I have a few ideas and tricks myself since Southern California can get pretty hot and dry in the Summer.
Thank Goddess, I live by the beach...When it gets too warm, fog starts forming over the ocean and acts as a natural A/C...
I've always loved the fog but I love it even more when it's hot!

Should we do "herbs to stay cool in the summer" for June? Alchemille, do you want to host? Should June 15 be the deadline?

(Hard for me to think about "staying cool" yet -- it's been cold and rainy here for days, and it's not supposed to change anytime soon!)

I don't mind being the hostess if nobody else wants to.
How should we phrase the theme: "cooling summer herbs"?

Deadline June 15th sounds fair to me.

Alright, since nobody said anything, I assume that everybody is ok with me hosting the next blog party.

June's blog party theme is "cooling herbs for the summer"

Deadline for the posts is june 15th 2008

Either send me an email or let me know through the forum when your post is online...Also please, give me your name (I'm not too good with names) ;).

I'll post the blog party's theme on my blog shortly...

so, i realize we're not even up to the june blogparty yet, but i wanted to put an idea out for the next one. What does everyone think of doing a blogparty around bitters -- our most useful bitters formulas or simples and general thoughts around the action and usefulness of bitters?

This is something I've been writing a lot about lately anyhow for the book, and am about to do an introductory post on it soon, and I'd like to see other peoples' thoughts and ways of using them.

and as always, i'd be happy to host :)

Things are a trifle busy at the moment and are liable to get worse, so I have posted my contribution to the blog party early. I've written about elderflower. You can find it at http://kitchenherbwife.blogspot.com/
