|
|
We're now offering, for the first time, 2-6 week long residential herbal classes! Taught by Kiva Rose (that would be me), and taking place here at the 80 acre botanical and women's sanctuary in the Gila, the most diverse bioregion in the SW.
The focus of the program is in traditional western herbalism (in the form of the Medicine Woman Tradition), homesteading skills, river restoration, nature awareness and the core Animα teachings. This is a big, but very hands on, program. The learning here is primarily experience based, and while there is lots of information to be had, the focus is on wholisitic immersion in the learning process.
We have classes from beginning to practitioner level, and the curriculum will include:
Expanding awareness and deepening presence
Sense of place, and learning from the natural world
Understanding healing as wholeness
Immerse yourself in the Medicine Woman Tradition: a unique system of Traditional Western herbal energetics, constitutional treatment and much more
How to know what herbs and other treatments to utilize
Diagnosing illness and recommend treatments using the Anima Medicine Wheel
How to identify, ethically wildcraft, conserve, prepare and administer plant medicines
How to get to know the core nature of your plant allies
How to successfully work with a small, intimate group of herbal allies
Determining what diet best serves your personal health/wholeness
The importance of tending, nourishing, savoring and celebrating
The work of helping heal not only self and others, but our society and our planet
You can read more (or even download an application) about it here: http://animacenter.org/blog/?p=177
Write me if you have any questions at all... And please pass this info on if you know anyone who might be interested! _________________ ~*~ Kiva Rose
