I have been completely absurdly busy for the past week, but I will get my post up as soon as I possibly can.
Thank you Ananda, for hosting! _________________ Rebecca Hartman

OK, so it's already Valentine's day, and I still don't have my own post up yet, but Robin Rose came to the rescue with a guest post on "passion honey"!
My own post should be up this evening. I hope. _________________ Rebecca Hartman

anyone know what the march blog topic is likely to be? I can start thinking about it well in advance that way, lol! _________________ ...can often be found grubbing around in the hedgerows, wearing an odd hat of elderflowers...

Great question.
Well, I have one idea about it that I will put out there as a possibility. I'm not attached to it though so if it doesn't excite the rest of you that is fine.
I thought about the usuals, like Spring tonics, fertility, and such. But as of the last couple years I have been more and more involved in reading about and relating the plant world to Goddess Archetypes, and utilizing their wisdom in my own life.
What I find within Goddess lore is another irritating case of 'exotics' as in the use of Dragon's blood, amber, etc. - which are nifty but not always accesible. I love Susun's weaving of Goddess wisdom into hearbal healing and how the stories themselves are healing - and the plants are local accessible plants, such as Artemisia and Elda Mor.
I would love to hear how other herbalists interpret the plant spirits, goddesses, etc, and how their medicines and stories overlap; both newly imagined stories as well as classics.
If that is too abstract, perhaps blood tonics or skin herbs.

Julie offered to host on nettles I think (I think I saw her post on it in this section of the forum)
I will check in again to see what the consensus is:) _________________ ~Kristena~

I saw Julie's other thread before this one... I've been planning to write about nettles soon anyway (in fact, I was planning to write a late post for the Feb party on nettles as aphrodisiac!)... Let's have Julie host the nettles party for March anyway...
(And Darcey -- maybe you could write about how nettles give you a headache, and how that reminds us that not every herb is for everyone?)
As far as the Goddess theme goes... could we widen it to mythical plant personalities? Plants in mythology? I would be able to write about that, but I wouldn't have much to say about a Goddess-specific theme. Maybe for April? Were you wanting to host it, Ananda? _________________ Rebecca Hartman

Sure I'm happy to host if for April if that seems fair after just hosting one. If someone who has not hosted yet wants to step forward let me know.
Absolutely yes - I do mean Goddesses AND plant spirits however you experience them - or traditional lore as well. I am open.

Hello Everyone,
I have posted our Nettle Stories Blog Party on my blog, Crow's Daughter's Herbal Wisdom. It has a link to 3 other blogs.
I am not sure this is the best place to be announcing this. I think this is where I first read about it.....
Well....my blog address is http://crowsdaughtersherbs.blogspot.com/
You can visit here and click on links to the other "nettle stories blogs"
I am delighted to do this.
We have a wonderful variety of articles and Sister Spinster is indeed happy about it also.
Many green blessings,
